As 2020 is coming to an end, we are filled with wonder, anticipation and perhaps with a sense of careful dread for what traces this year will leave behind – but not without first commemorating the valuable lessons & creations that sprouted within the darkness: Quarantasia is a dedication to the fantasia that was born in this humbling and devastating, inward-looking, insane, yet teaching year – filled with contradictions, uncertainty and hope lurking around every corner. 
This issue gathers splendid depictions of internal worlds: it represents an array of coping mechanisms, threaded together, bound by some fantastic imagery of nature. Quarantasia continues to gather aesthetic work about social problematics and global issues like climate change, or ecological and medical emergencies. While the world is at a still point from the eyes of a human, let us travel, immersing into these pages– Quarantasia is an ode to us as part of this magnificent and finely tuned support machine - Nature: In the words of Rovelli “our knowledge is incomplete, but it’s organic: it is constantly growing, and every part of it has influence over every other part.”
